Happy 2023! In our last blog post, we went through the top 5 most requested cities in 2022. In this blog post, we go through the most booked cities from 2022.
Spoiler alert: They’re not all that different ;)
NYC was the city we booked the most events in last year! This was likely to be the case as it was also the city we sourced the most. I was just in NYC last week and dined at partner, Quality Italian. I look forward to visiting more of our Dining Partners when I make trips back to CT to visit my family.
Following NYC, was Chicago, which was also pretty predictable as this was tied for the second city we sourced the most last year. Just a few days ago, we received our first RFP of the year for Chicago. It’s a Sales Team Reception for a food and beverage company for 85-90 people in May. This will be a fun one to source!
Next up, was a tie between San Fran/Bay Area and Washington, D.C. + Metro Areas. These two markets were high up in the most sourced, so it’s no surprise they’re also high up on our most booked markets! It doesn’t look like we’ve received any D.C. RFPs as of yet, so I’m curious to see if D.C will be as popular in 2023 as it was in 2022.
Boston came in as the 5th most booked city and I have a feeling it will continue to be a hot destination for meetings and events this year too. I’ve only been to Boston when I was young, but this year I plan to visit Anayis, and we will likely go to some of our Dining Partners while I’m there.
Not far behind these were Las Vegas, Austin, San Diego, Atlanta and Denver.
Last year was a great year for RFPs and booked events, especially compared to the previous two years. Thank goodness! In just the first few weeks of 2023, we have experienced a record number of incoming RFPs and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon. Let’s make this the best year of sourcing yet!
