It’s been over a month since we last wrote about Q! Things have certainly been quieter in event world but DINEvent is still here and ready to work hard planning your next event. Amanda and Rachel check in below with a Q update - read on.

I’m a momma!!! On June 24, my husband, Ted, and I welcomed our daughter, Abigail Marie Woydt, at 2:59 am. After 36-hours of labor, we were graced by the beauty of our 7 lb. 11 oz. bundle of joy. Since making her debut, Little Abigail has cast a spell upon us. We will forever be transfixed by her every move, squeak and eye flutter.
Since Abigail’s arrival, each day seems to be 1000 times better than the last. We are slowly beginning to establish a schedule and routine. Abigail loves going for walks and has been sleeping really well the past few nights. One thing we discovered is that our girl does not like to be swaddled! If she’s anything like her momma, I suspect this is the first indication of what will become fierce independence.

As you may know from my DINEvent Journey Blog Post, I began working for DINEvent in 2016 in Phoenix. I moved to Arizona in 2010 to attend Arizona State University in Tempe and then stayed in Arizona for a few years post graduating. I have always loved Arizona, but from that blog post, you may recall that my personal life took me to a few different places in the last several years. While we all work remotely, DINEvent is based in Phoenix and moving back has always been on my mind – for both professional and personal reasons.
At the start of this year, I visited friends in Phoenix for a long weekend and looked at some places to live too, in case I was ready to move back. I decided I was, and everything seemed to be working out perfectly, until COVID-19...
Naturally I decided it wouldn’t be smart to move mid quarantine and postponed the move until the end of April when things slowly started opening back up in the state. Now that I’ve been in Phoenix for almost 3 months, I can say this is definitely the city I am meant to be in and I plan to stay here for the foreseeable future! It also helps that I will get to see Amanda and now Baby Abigail too, WAY more often!!!
